Tutoring Foster Children K through 5th Grade

“Only 65% of youth in foster care graduate high school by 21 years of age, compared to the national graduation rate of 84%.” 1,2,3

“Findings suggest that school stability and positive relationships with peers and emotional connections with adult mentors ease transitions and positively impacts educational success and post-secondary attendance.” 4

Our goal is to form lasting and impactful relationships with kids in foster care who need help in school. We’ve designed a program that meets them where they’re at and helps put joy back into learning.

There are currently no tutoring programs ready to meet the specific needs of foster kids in the greater Tulsa area, despite proven transformative results of such programs elsewhere.

Tutoring sessions are offered after school in Broken Arrow on Mondays. Registration for Spring 2024 is now open.
